MISSION STATEMENT

Is to be effective in ministering to all that will hear the universal language of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We strive to be consistent in our promise to “Be There When You Need Us”; consistent in teaching the life-changing word of God through Sunday School, Bible Study and Sunday Morning Worship.

Consistent in having an “Open Door Policy” where the doors of the church will be open when we say they will so that people will have a place to pray, praise, worship and learn of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Our mission is to reach the masses and minister the unadulterated truth about the saving power of our Messiah, Jesus Christ.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10: 9 - 10)

VISION STATEMENT
One Accord Christian Church is rooted and grounded in building and growing.  We will have perpetual spiritual growth both individually and corporately by working in unity through the teaching and learning of the inerrant Holy Scriptures.  We will grow in spirit and in number that we may continue to make disciples that will labor in the vineyard for the glory of our savior Jesus Christ.  Our growth will allow us to serve God and the community in relevant issues of today such as the savings of souls, and adult and youth programs that minister to the Total Man.

We Believe

in

We believe In Jesus (Yeshua)

We believe Jesus is the savior, Lord Christ, and the incarnate reality of God.  He is the walking revelation of God's love to humanity; He embodies grace; Jesus is one-hundred percent man. He died on the cross for the redemption of God's creation; He got up on the third day with all power in heaven and earth in His hands.

We Believe in the Holy Spirit (Rauch Ha-Kodesh)

We believe the Holy Spirit is Christ present tense empowering the believer, energizing the church and encouraging Christians that God is still with us.  The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin, points us to the truth and leads us to righteousness.

We Believe in the Church

We believe the church is Christ's bride and His body in which to witness to the world through word and sacrament. The church is a fellowship of regenerated men and women called out to live together in community life.

We Believe in Scripture

We believe that the scripture is God's word; it is His written authority for the Church. The scripture was given to ordinary men and women through inspiration; the scripture is inerrant in principle and infallible in content.

We Believe in Humanity

We believe humans were created in the image of God. God breathed His life into humans; humans voluntarily rebelled against God and fell from a state of protection, thereby experiencing separation from God. Consequently, all humans are sinners but, by choice, are redeemable through Jesus Christ, our only hope to experience once again the peace of God.

We Believe in Salvation

We believe in God's saving grace. We believe the blessings of salvation are free to all through the Gospel; that the requisite of acceptance is thankful, penitent and obedient faith; and that nothing interferes with the salvation of the sinner except their refusal of the Gospel. Humankind's disbelief or rejection of God is their condemnation.

We Believe in Justification

We believe that justification is being brought into the right relationship with God; his position is accomplished without consideration of good works (of righteousness). Justification is the pardoning of sin. The gift of eternal life displays God's love for humankind; and by faith in the redemptive blood of Jesus Christ is His righteousness given to us

We Believe in Baptism and the Holy Communion

We believe baptism is an ocular demonstration of God's inward renewal of life in the believer. Through baptism, our names are changed. In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit we are placed under the authority of God's power and protection. It is the symbol of Christ's death, burial and resurrection to a new life. It is a prerequisite to the privileges of the church in relation to the Lord's Supper or Holy Communion. Jesus Christ took the bread and wine and established them as the imperishable symbols of the Church. The Lord's Table is open to all people in the faith who desire to fellowship with Him.

We Believe in the Virgin Birth

We believe in the Virgin Birth; that Mary, mother of Jesus, conceived him by the Holy Spirit. He is without sin. He was born of a virgin as no other man in the past or in the present can ever be born. He is both the Son of God and God the Son
