Jesse Jackson

One Accord Family, in the words of The Reverend Jesse Jackson, “If my mind can conceive it and my heart can believe it, then I can achieve it.”

As we reflect on the passing of Reverend Jesse Jackson, I am reminded of what we recently shared from Nehemiah with Pastor Tony Oliver. In the book of Nehemiah, Nehemiah was privy to the pain of his people. He was prayerful before he was passionate about action. He moved beyond pity into compassion and then into action.

Reverend Jackson lived that same pattern. He saw the broken walls of injustice. He prayed. He spoke. He moved.

One Accord, faith is not passive. When God allows you to see something, it is because He is stirring you to believe for something and build something. Conceive it in prayer. Believe it in your heart. Then rise and act with courage.

Please join us in remembering the life and Ministry of Rev. Jesse Jackson. May he rest in peace and paradise!
